REQUIREMENTS FOR THE 2025 AVAILABLE COURSES AT COASTAL KZN TVET COLLEGE:

• NATED Engineering Studies:

To apply for NATED Engineering Studies you need to have passed matric with Mathematics and Physical Sciences OR have Technical subjects OR Passed NCV L4 in related fields.

• NATED Business Studies:

To apply for NATED Business Studies you need to have passed matric with Accounting/Business studies OR other commercial subjects OR Passed NCV L4 in related fields.

• NATED Utility Studies:

To apply for NATED Utility Studies you need to have passed matric with Business studies/Hospitality OR Tourism OR Passed NCV L4 in related fields.

• NCV Engineering Studies:

To apply for NCV Engineering Studies you need to have passed Grade 9, 10, 11 OR have ABET Level 4 certificate.

• NCV Business Studies:

To apply for NCV Business Studies you need to have passed Grade 9, 10, 11 OR have ABET Level 4 certificate.

• NCV Utility Studies:

To apply for NCV Utility Studies you need to have passed Grade 9, 10, 11 OR have ABET Level 4 certificate.

How to apply at Coastal KZN TVET College for 2025

Here is a step by step guide on how to apply online at Coastal KZN TVET college for 2025:

1. Go to the Coastal KZN TVET website HERE
2. Scroll down and click on the "proceed with application" to write the placement test (this test is compulsory)
3. After completing the test click HERE to begin with your online application. 
4.  Then click on the "apply here" button
5. Answer few questions regarding having a student number and accept the application rules and click "continue"
6. Capture your biographical information and click "next" to proceed with your application;
7. Capture results details then add subjects and click "next";
8. Capture educational institution detail and click "next";
9. Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on "add qualification" and thereafter click "next";
10. Verify/Check your application details then click "continue";
11. Create your 5 digit PIN (e.g 24689), click "I accept"(twice) checkbox thereafter click "Submit Application";
12. Upload your documents, select "yes" on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded and then click "next";
13. Click "Load/View Document" >> "Upload document" >> "Choose/Browse file" go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document and click "save";
14. Once all documents have been uploaded click "complete upload";
15. Confirmation Page, end of application

NOTE: All new students need to undergo a Career Guidance and Assessment with the help of the PACE Career Assessment tool to determine applicants numeracy and literacy levels. It is not meant to exclude but rather assist students.

TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING REGARDING THE CAREER GUIDANCE AND PLACEMENET TEST:

• Please remember to write down and store safely your Username and Password when doing the assessment. 
• If your internet connection drops, you may return the same way as a Returning User and you can continue where you left off. 
• Do not let anyone complete the assessment test for you
• Based on the results of the placement, the college will suggest the courses you should apply for BUT you still have the right to choose your own course based on your preference.
