2024 applications are now open at Coastal KZN TVET College for second trimester. Prospective students are encouraged to submit their applications on time by March 31st,  2024.

• Civil Engineering 
• Mechanical Engineering 
• Electrical Engineering 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE 2024 SECOND TRIMESTER ENGINEERING COURSES AT COASTAL KZN TVET COLLEGE:

Civil Engineering: 

For N2: Grade 12 with Mathematics & Technical Drawing, each with a minimum pass of 40% (Achievement Level 3) 

For N3: Civil Engineering N2

For N4: Civil Engineering N3 OR NCV: Level 4 (Civil Engineering & Building Construction)

For N5: Civil Engineering N4 

For N6: Civil Engineering N5 

Mechanical Engineering:

For N2: Grade 12 with Mathematics & Technical Drawing, each with a minimum pass of 40% (Achievement Level 3).

For N3: Mechanical Engineering N2 or NCV: Level 4 (Engineering & Related Design)

For N4: Mechanical Engineering N3 or NCV: Level 4 (Engineering & Related Design)

For N5: Mechanical Engineering N4. 

For N6: Mechanical Engineering N5

Electrical Engineering: 

For N2: Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science, each with a minimum pass of 40% (Achievement Level 3). 

For N3: Electrical Engineering N2. 

For N4: Electrical Engineering N3 or NCV: Level 4 (Electrical Infrastructure Construction)

For N5: Electrical Engineering N4. 

For N6: Electrical Engineering N5
 

How to apply at Coastal KZN TVET College for 2024

All interested and qualifying students can apply online via the online application platform. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to submit your application. 

1. Go to the Coastal KZN TVET website HERE
2. Click on the blue tab "Click Here" under the noticeboard to write a placement test (if you are a new student)
3. Complete your placement test, then visit the Coastal KZN TVET college website
4. Click on the red tab "Apply Here" under the noticeboard to apply online
5. Answer the first few questions
6. Accept the application rules and click "continue"
7. Capture your biographical information and click "next" to proceed with your application;
8. Capture results details then add subjects and click "next";
9. Capture educational institution detail and click "next";
10. Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on "add qualification" and thereafter click "next";
11. Verify/Check your application details then click "continue";
12. Create your 5 digit PIN (e.g 24689), click "I accept"(twice) checkbox thereafter click "Submit Application";
13. Upload your documents, select "yes" on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded and then click "next";
14. Click "Load/View Document" >> "Upload document" >> "Choose/Browse file" go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document and click "save";
15. Once all documents have been uploaded click "complete upload";
16. Confirmation Page, end of application

Coastal KZN TVET College Required Documents

Your application must be accompanied by the following documents:

• Your certified ID copy
• Your certified academic record/certificate 
• Your parent/next of kin certified ID copy

CLOSING DATE

The closing date for the Coastal KZN TVET College 2024 second trimester applications is the 31st of March 2024. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
