Application Procedure for New Students
If you're a new student, you must follow these steps to complete your online application to South West Gauteng TVET College:
You are considered a new student if:

- You do not have a student number from a previous year
Steps to Apply:
Step 1: Career Guidance Exploration

Step 2: Complete the Pre-Entry Assessment
Access the Profiler System: Once you've explored your career options, log back into the Profiler System and complete all sections in the Pre-Entry folder, as shown in the video instructions.
Placement Test: Placement screening is compulsory. Though the results will guide you in your course selection, you have the right to choose your preferred course.
- Important: You will be asked to sign an acknowledgment if you wish to make your own choice, even if it differs from the placement screening recommendation.
- Note: Be honest when answering the questions. Do not allow anyone else to complete the screening for you, as it may affect your course placement and performance.
Save your progress: Be sure to write down and securely store your username and password. If you lose internet connection, you can continue from where you left off as a returning user.
Step 3: Complete the Online Application

- Fill in your personal details, next of kin information, and other required fields in the application.
Once completed, you must submit your application and upload the following documents in PDF format:

- Proof of Income
- IDs of your parents or legal guardians
